About us

One buyer, named before you commit

Most companies that answer the phone when you search for a wrecked car buyer will not tell you who ends up buying it. We will, before you agree to anything.

The national quote sites run an auction in the background. You submit your vehicle, they broker it to whichever local yard bids highest that week, and a truck arrives from a company whose name you have never heard. The number you were quoted was never a commitment, because the company that quoted you had no vehicle, no truck, and no money in the transaction.

Fremont Wrecked Cars is the other model. This is TrackWala's site for the Fremont market, and TrackWala is the buyer. The offer comes from TrackWala, the truck is dispatched by TrackWala, and TrackWala hands you the payment. One company, named up front, all the way through.

Who we actually are

Fremont Wrecked Cars is our site for the Fremont market. The company behind it, and the company that actually purchases your vehicle, is Blue Ribbon Auto Sales LLC, an Arizona-licensed dealer trading as TrackWala, with a corporate office at 2627 W Birchwood Cir, Ste 1, Mesa, AZ 85202.

The company was built on more than thirty years in the vehicle business, including executive roles at national automotive companies on the wholesale and remarketing side. That background is the entire reason this operation exists. When you have spent decades watching what damaged vehicles actually transact for, it becomes obvious how much value ordinary sellers give away when their only two options are a body shop estimate and a scrap quote.

Why we focus on wrecked and totaled cars specifically

Almost every buyer in this category optimizes for the same vehicle: an old, high-mileage car worth roughly its weight in metal. That is a real business, and for a 2003 sedan with 240,000 miles the scrap number is close to the right number.

It is the wrong number for a three-year-old vehicle with front-end damage.

A late-model car that has been declared a total loss still contains a drivetrain, a body, electronics, and a set of components with real market value. Scrap-weight pricing ignores all of it. The gap is not small and it is not occasional.

What the gap looks like in practice

On a 2016 Hyundai Sonata in Fremont, the scrap quote was $475. We paid $1,350. On a 2020 Toyota Highlander XLE, we paid $12,500 for a vehicle the owner had been told was finished.

$475 → $1,3502016 Sonata, Fremont

We built the company around that gap because nobody else was competing for it.

What the direct buyer model changes for you

Because we own the transaction end to end, three things are true that are not true elsewhere.

The offer is written down first

You are not agreeing to a range or an estimate. You are agreeing to a number, and that number is what you are paid.

One company shows up

The party who quoted you, the truck that arrives, and the entity on the paperwork are all TrackWala. Nobody is learning about your vehicle for the first time in your driveway.

The DMV side gets closed out

Your Notice of Transfer and Release of Liability is handled the same day, which is what actually ends your exposure to tolls, tickets, and anything else the vehicle accumulates after it leaves.

Where we operate

We buy across Fremont, including Ardenwood, Centerville, Niles, Irvington, Mission San Jose, and Warm Springs, and throughout the surrounding East Bay: Newark, Union City, Milpitas, Hayward, San Leandro, Castro Valley, and the rest of Alameda County.

Fremont is a deliberate focus rather than a coincidence. It has one of the highest concentrations of electric vehicles in the country, and EVs reach total loss thresholds from surprisingly moderate collisions because any repair that touches the battery structure escalates past the vehicle's value quickly. A totaled EV with an intact pack and drivetrain is one of the most systematically underpriced vehicles on the market. We buy them specifically.

What we will not do

  • We will not quote a number and revise it when the driver arrives.
  • We will not sell or rent your contact information, and we will not auction your vehicle to a pool of third-party bidders. Your details go to TrackWala, the company buying the car, and nowhere else.
  • We will not tell you your car is worthless to make an easy purchase. If a scrap yard is genuinely your best outcome on a given vehicle, we will say so.
